World Class Wakeboard Action at the London International Boat Show
by Press Release [January 11, 2011]
Wakeboarding is back at the London International Boat Show. The London show has a
long history of supporting the Watersports Industry and this year there is more going on
than ever. A 70 x 25 metre pool sits in the brand new extension of the Excel Centre in the
heart of London, and is playing host to a massive array of watersports displays while also
giving the public a chance to take part.
The Wakeboarding action is, as you’d expect, the ‘star of the show’ and with some of the
world’s best cable, boat and rail riders performing two shows every day it’s no surprise.
European Champion Dan Nott, 3x UK National Cable Champ CK, former Wakestock
Champ, Jonty Green and rail rider supreme Lee Debuse are working hard everyday to
make sure the crowds leave the show inspired to get out on the water when the summer
comes around. We’ll also be hosting the first ever London Boat Show Wakeboard contest
on the Thursday of the with more of the UK’s best battling it out for some cold hard cash.
The System 2.0 Cable set-up, secured to the a ceiling for the first time ever, is perfect
not just for showcasing the very best of Wakeboarding but the ideal for getting first timers
up. Everyday ‘Have a Go’ sessions are running in the pool for the public and already we
have a whole army of people hooked on the sport. The pool has been booked up from the
moment the Show’s doors are open meaning that come the end of the show, there’ll lots of
newbie riders taking to the water across the country come the warm weather.
The Action Pool arena has been a massive success and is most definitely here to stay.
All the riding and info on the sport can be seen at the Tullett Prebon London Boat Show
